To have someone be on the same journey at the same time has absolutely been the biggest blessing. We check in daily to see how we feel and if what we are feeling is similar.
From a stitch that’s causing twinges in one’s vaginal cuff to the constant gurgling that’s happening all across the belly. It’s a comfort an absolute blessing and so reassuring.
Amelia, is 5 days ahead of me and her surgery was far more brutal as she has open incisions I just have 4 little wounds that a robot nicely did to me. A robot, a fucking robot doing surgery, it conjures up all sorts of images in my head that does. From robocop to the little thing out of short circuit or maybe even the terminator, I wonder what it looked like.
This little post is mainly to show and share my appreciation to my (absent) womb sister that has been an absolute rock through this, every twinge, the floods of emotions that just hit you and is it the right time to start pelvic floor exercises that almost feel like doing a full workout. Without her and her malas I think I would be stuck in a right hole of insecurity and worry. Every woman going through anything like this needs a womb buddy, only they get it as your living the experience with them. Amelia, thank you 🤍
